About the Theme

Finding the Light

Winter is often associated with darkness, but it is also a season of hope. Even in the longest nights, light remains—a reminder that beauty, healing, and resilience can be found in unexpected places.

We're looking for poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and personal essays that explore perseverance, faith, love, grief, peace, stillness, comfort, reflection, and finding hope during difficult times. Whether your work focuses on personal healing, quiet moments of joy, or the light we discover in one another, we encourage authentic, heartfelt interpretations of this season's theme.

We believe every writer has a story worth sharing, and we look forward to reading yours.
